Worldwide Delta SkyMiles deals: Domestic flights from 8,000 miles round trip, plus deals to Europe, South America and Asia
This week there are Delta SkyMiles deals to just about everywhere. You can fly from the West Coast to Europe starting at 30,000 miles round-trip and from the East Coast for only 22,000 miles round-trip. Plus, there are deals to Asia, South America and domestic flights that bottom out at 8,000 miles round-trip (in basic economy). With Delta’s basic economy awards you won’t be able to choose your seat ahead of time or cancel your flight, but you can still bring a carry-on.
These deals are advertised as being available from Delta’s hub and focus cities, but I found flights with the same low prices from all sorts of cities that aren’t listed below. These discounts really are one of the best ways to use Delta miles.

If you’re willing to travel on a basic economy award ticket you can find even cheaper domestic deals, like these round-trip basic economy flights:
- Detroit to Austin 9,000 miles
- New York to Orlando 9,000 miles
- Boston to Los Angeles for 12,000 miles
Basic economy tickets cannot be changed or refunded after 24 hours, even if you hold top-tier Delta status, so keep that in mind.
If you need more Delta SkyMiles in a pinch you can transfer Amex Membership Rewards points to Delta at a 1:1 ratio. These cards earn Amex Membership Rewards points:

Just remember, you won’t earn the welcome bonus in time for this particular award sale. Also, Amex only lets you earn an intro bonus once per lifetime per specific credit card, so you’ll want to wait to apply until the welcome offers are increased and right now none of the Delta credit cards have a good bonus offer.
