Citi Offers Big Targeted Savings on Amazon and PayPal

Through December 31, 2018, folks with Citi cards can get a $30 statement credit for shopping at Amazon or paying through PayPal.

To earn it, you must be targeted via email, which tells you which card has the offer already loaded.  Then, make 3 purchases of $30+ through the end of 2018.

You’ll get a $30 statement credit applied to your card within 2 billing cycles.

There are 2 versions of this offer.  One is for shopping on Amazon, while the other is for making payments through PayPal.

Dozens of merchants allow you to log into your PayPal account when you check out.  And of course, Amazon is a perennial favorite, especially this time of year with Black Friday and Cyber Monday coming up.  If you got this offer, it’s an easy way to save.

If you spend $30 three times, you’ll get $30 back, which is like getting a 33% discount!  I got the targeted offer for Amazon on my Citi Prestige card, so I’ll definitely take part in this deal.

Don’t Forget Price Rewind!

Link:   Citi Price Rewind

Citi Price Rewind is available for all Citi personal credit cards.  If you find a lower price within 60 days, Citi will refund you up to $200 per item and up to $1,000 per year after you file a claim.  Other banks have cut this benefit, so Citi is one of the few remaining issuers offering price protection these days.

Even better, you can use Earny to automate the process for you.  If the app finds a lower price, they’ll keep 25% of the difference as payment.

I often get statement credits for items I didn’t know had gone or sale or dropped in price.  Plus, not having to remember to file a claim means the credits appear with no action on my part.

Remember to always use a shopping portal when you buy items online to get free miles, points, or cash back, too – especially if you got the PayPal version of this offer!
