Get a 5-Night Stay & Save Over ~$1,000 at the Hyatt House San Diego With Hyatt Points!

I recently booked a 5-night stay in San Diego at the Hyatt House San Diego – Sorrento Mesa for 12,000 Hyatt points per night.

Rooms here go for ~$200 to $300 per night, making it a great way to get Big Travel with Small Money!  Redeeming points saved us over ~$1,000 for this trip.

The secret to getting these super cheap hotel stays is by using points earned from the best credit cards for travel.  I have to spend money on groceries, gas, and doctor’s appointments anyway, so I might as well be rewarded for it!

How to Book Your FREE Hotel Stay!

It’s easy to book your hotel once you have the points.

Step 1.   Create a Hyatt Account

Once you’ve got one of the Chase credit cards mentioned above, and earned the intro bonus, you’ll need to create a Hyatt account.

Start by visiting the Hyatt website and clicking “Sign In” in the top-right corner.

Click “Sign In” to Create Your Account

Scroll down and click on “Join“.  Then enter your information and follow the instructions to finish creating your account.

Click on “Join” to Become a Hyatt Member Step 2.   Find Your Hotel & Transfer Your Chase Ultimate Rewards Points

Next, you’ll want to find out how many points you need for your hotel.  And then you’ll need to transfer the points from Chase Ultimate Rewards to Hyatt.  Different hotels cost different amounts of points.  The Hyatt House San Diego – Sorrento Mesa is only 12,000 Hyatt points per night!

Search for Your Desired Hotel

Once you find your hotel, click on “View Points“.

Click on “View Points”

The number of points needed for the hotel will be displayed.  The cash and points option will also be displayed.  Not all hotels offer a cash and points option.

Step 3.   Book Your Hotel

Once you’ve found the hotel you want, click on “Select“.

One of my favorite ways to use Chase Ultimate Rewards points is to transfer them to Hyatt for hotel stays.

The Hyatt House San Diego – Sorrento Mesa was the perfect family hotel room.  There was a kitchenette, living room, and separate bedroom.  I paid nothing for this stay and used points instead!
